Nokia N9

Earlier Nokia spokesman confirmed that the recently announced Nokia N8 will be the last N-series device to run on Symbian OS. However, information from various sources depicts that Nokia is coming up with yet another N series mobile phone, N9 powered by Symbian ^3 OS.


True or false

Until and unless Nokia announces about N9 officially, it is quite impossible to say anything specific about the handset. However, through various sources and leaked information and images, it is proved that the phone will look similar to N8. It will feature a tilting slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Other features of the Nokia N9 will include camera resolution of 12-megapixels, 4000×3000 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and Xenon flash. The Nokia N9 is presumed to record video in the frame rate of 25fps and feature an additional LED video light. The phone will sport a 16M colours display, super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, scratch resistant surface, touch sensitive controls and proximity sensor for auto turn-off. The phone will include expendable memory of up to 32 GB and include Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), TV-out (720p video) via HDMI and composite, Digital compass, Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI- Anodized aluminium casing, Voice command/dial, Video/photo editor, Flash Lite v4.0 and so on.

As for now, all you can do is, wait for the final verdict and see what the Finnish mobile giant Nokia has in store for its customers.
